CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS

How do I compare fuel economy between cars?

Use the EPA ratings shown on the window sticker and at fueleconomy.gov, which lists city, highway and combined MPG, estimated annual fuel cost and, for electrified vehicles, MPGe and range. Combined MPG is usually the best single comparison number. Your real results will depend on driving style, climate and trip length. Multiply the annual fuel-cost difference by the years you plan to keep the car to see what it is really worth.
