CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS

Is it better to buy a car with a bigger engine?

Only if you need the power for towing, heavy loads or confident highway merging with a full vehicle. Bigger or more powerful engines usually use more fuel and can raise insurance costs. Many modern turbocharged four-cylinder and hybrid powertrains deliver plenty of performance with better efficiency. Test-drive each engine option on your real routes, including highway on-ramps, before paying for an upgrade.
