CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
What is total cost of ownership for a car?
Total cost of ownership is everything you spend on a vehicle over the time you keep it: purchase price or lease payments, taxes and fees, financing interest, insurance, fuel or charging, maintenance, repairs, and depreciation. Two cars with similar prices can differ by thousands over five years. Estimate each piece, especially insurance and fuel, before deciding. OffLot's "What this vehicle really costs" section helps with the purchase and financing side.
