CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
What is a buy here pay here dealership?
A buy here pay here dealer sells cars and provides the financing itself, often to buyers with poor or no credit. They can offer approval when banks won't, but rates and prices are frequently higher, and some require frequent in-person payments or install payment tracking devices. Not all report payments to credit bureaus. If you consider one, read the contract carefully and compare against credit unions and other lenders. The FTC at consumer.ftc.gov has guidance.
