CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
How do I convert a money factor to an interest rate?
Multiply the money factor by 2,400 to get an approximate APR. For example, a money factor of 0.00200 equals about 4.8%. To go the other way, divide the APR by 2,400. It's an approximation, since leases calculate rent charges differently than loans, but it's a useful way to compare a lease's financing cost against loan offers. Always ask the dealer to state the money factor explicitly.
