CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
What is a lease buyout?
A lease buyout means purchasing the car you're leasing, either at the end of the term for the residual value plus fees, or early for a payoff amount set by the lessor. It can make sense if the car is worth more than the buyout price, you're over on miles or have wear charges, or you simply like the car. You can pay cash or finance the buyout through a bank or credit union.
