CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
What is MSRP on a car?
MSRP stands for Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price, the price the automaker recommends a dealer charge for a new vehicle with a specific set of equipment. It appears on the window sticker (often called the Monroney label), along with the destination charge and options. MSRP is a starting reference, not a fixed price. Dealers can sell below it, at it, or above it depending on demand, inventory and incentives. On OffLot, the Listing facts section of each new vehicle page shows the MSRP so you can compare it against the listed price.
