CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
Is roadside assistance included with a new car?
Many new vehicles include roadside assistance from the manufacturer for a period of time, often tied to the basic or powertrain warranty, covering things like towing, jump-starts, flat tires and lockouts. Certified pre-owned programs often include it too. Check the warranty booklet or the brand's website for your vehicle. Before paying for a separate roadside plan, also check whether your auto insurance, credit card or an auto club membership already gives you similar coverage.
