CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS

What is a prepaid maintenance plan?

A prepaid maintenance plan lets you pay up front for scheduled services such as oil changes, tire rotations and inspections, usually at a specific dealer or brand network. It can lock in prices and simplify budgeting, but it only helps if you will use the services where the plan is accepted. Check which services and intervals are included, whether it transfers if you sell, and how cancellation refunds work. Some new vehicles already include complimentary maintenance for a period, so check that first.
