Twelve thousand miles in. Nothing has gone wrong, dealer service has been easy, and the cargo room still impresses passengers.

2026 BMW X5 review
BMW X5: a class leader on the details. Illustrative review
8.9/10 OffLot expert score
The 2026 BMW X5 sits near the top of its class. Ride stays composed on rough pavement; easy to see out of and park. Price climbs fast with options and engine gets loud under hard acceleration, so test the trim you'd actually buy. Starting around $68,000, it lines up with most direct rivals.

The cargo room is the standout. My only gripe is the touchscreen climate controls, which I knew going in.
We cross-shopped three others and this won on cargo room. the touchscreen climate controls is the trade-off.
