EXPERT REVIEW · THREE-ROW SUV

2026 Chevrolet Traverse review

Chevrolet Traverse: the family hauler that doesn't feel like one. Illustrative review

7.9/10 OffLot expert score

The 2026 Chevrolet Traverse is a strong contender in its class. Ride stays composed on rough pavement; standard driver-assist suite. Engine gets loud under hard acceleration and price climbs fast with options, so test the trim you'd actually buy. Starting around $42,000, it lines up with most direct rivals.

Better than the test drive suggested

The cargo room is the standout. My only gripe is the touchscreen climate controls, which I knew going in.

Happy after a year

Bought it for the school runs and road trips and it has handled everything so far. Fuel economy has been close to the sticker in mixed driving.

Would buy again

We cross-shopped three others and this won on cargo room. the touchscreen climate controls is the trade-off.
