2026 Lexus GX review

Lexus GX: the family hauler that doesn't feel like one. Illustrative review

8.3/10 OffLot expert score

The 2026 Lexus GX is a strong contender in its class. Standard driver-assist suite; easy to see out of and park. Third row (where offered) is for kids and engine gets loud under hard acceleration, so test the trim you'd actually buy. Starting around $65,000, it lines up with most direct rivals.

Good, not perfect

We cross-shopped three others and this won on cargo room. the touchscreen climate controls is the trade-off.

Solid, with a few quirks

Bought it for the school runs and road trips and it has handled everything so far. Fuel economy has been close to the sticker in mixed driving.

Solid, with a few quirks

The cargo room is the standout. My only gripe is the touchscreen climate controls, which I knew going in.
