Twelve thousand miles in. Nothing has gone wrong, dealer service has been easy, and the fuel economy still impresses passengers.

2026 Nissan Leaf review
Nissan Leaf: everyday electric done right. Illustrative review
8.7/10 OffLot expert score
The 2026 Nissan Leaf sits near the top of its class. Standard driver-assist suite; efficient in mixed driving. Road noise on coarse pavement and rear headroom is tight for tall passengers, so test the trim you'd actually buy. Starting around $30,000, it undercuts most direct rivals.

Bought it for the a long commute and it has handled everything so far. Fuel economy has been close to the sticker in mixed driving.
Replaced an older Nissan with this one. Big step up in fuel economy; I'd like a little more rear headroom.
