Bought it for the a long commute and it has handled everything so far. Fuel economy has been close to the sticker in mixed driving.

2026 Toyota Corolla review
Toyota Corolla: a sensible pick with a few compromises. Illustrative review
7.7/10 OffLot expert score
The 2026 Toyota Corolla is a reasonable choice if the price is right. Easy infotainment with phone mirroring; comfortable front seats on long trips. Rear headroom is tight for tall passengers and road noise on coarse pavement, so test the trim you'd actually buy. Starting around $23,000, it undercuts most direct rivals.

Twelve thousand miles in. Nothing has gone wrong, dealer service has been easy, and the fuel economy still impresses passengers.
Replaced an older Toyota with this one. Big step up in fuel economy; I'd like a little more rear headroom.
