Twelve thousand miles in. Nothing has gone wrong, dealer service has been easy, and the cargo room still impresses passengers.

Volkswagen Tiguan: a class leader on the details. Illustrative review

The 2026 Volkswagen Tiguan sits near the top of its class. Roomy second row and flexible cargo floor; standard driver-assist suite. Touch-only climate controls on some trims and price climbs fast with options, so test the trim you'd actually buy. Starting around $30,000, it undercuts most direct rivals.

The cargo room is the standout. My only gripe is the touchscreen climate controls, which I knew going in.
Bought it for the school runs and road trips and it has handled everything so far. Fuel economy has been close to the sticker in mixed driving.
