Does getting pre-approved on OffLot affect my credit?

No. OffLot's pre-approval step says plainly that getting pre-approved does not affect your credit score, and offers are more likely to be accepted when you are pre-approved. In the preview, the Social Security number and date of birth fields are locked, and answers are never saved or sent. Outside OffLot, lender pre-approvals may use a soft or hard inquiry, so ask each lender which one they use.
