CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
Do I need a Level 2 charger at home?
Not always. If you drive modest daily distances and park for many hours overnight, Level 1 charging from a regular outlet may keep up. A Level 2 charger becomes more useful if you drive longer daily distances, have a larger battery, share one EV among several drivers, or want to recover quickly after a long day. Some people use an existing 240-volt outlet. Look at your typical daily miles and how many hours the car is parked at home.
