CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS

Should I buy a used car that was a rental?

Former rentals can be reasonable buys, since they are often relatively new, regularly serviced by the fleet, and priced lower. Downsides can include many drivers of varying care and sometimes base-trim features. Ask for maintenance records, check the history report and open recalls, and get an independent inspection. Price it against similar non-rental cars of the same mileage.
