CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
How do I find out who my car loan lender is?
Look at your retail installment contract; the dealer often signs it and then assigns it to a bank, credit union or finance company, which will be named on the contract or in a welcome letter. If you are unsure, ask the dealer's finance office which lender bought the contract and request the account number. Set up online access and autopay if you want, and make sure your first payment goes to the right place.
