CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
Are those 'your car warranty is expiring' calls real?
Many are not. The FTC and FCC have warned about robocalls and mailers designed to look like official warranty notices, often from companies with no connection to your automaker or dealer. Do not give payment or personal information to an unsolicited caller. If you want to know your actual warranty status, contact your vehicle manufacturer or a franchised dealer using contact details you look up yourself. You can report unwanted calls at reportfraud.ftc.gov and the Do Not Call registry.
