CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
What is an extended car warranty?
An extended car warranty is usually a vehicle service contract: an optional product you pay for that covers certain repairs after, or alongside, the factory warranty. It is not truly a warranty because it is sold separately and costs extra. Contracts vary a lot in what they cover, the deductible, the length, who backs them (the automaker or a third party) and where repairs can be done. Read the contract, especially the exclusions, before deciding. On OffLot, Build your deal shows protection products clearly as optional.
