CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
Should I ask for service records on a used car?
Yes. Service records show whether oil changes, timing belts, fluid flushes and other maintenance were done on schedule, which can help you judge how the car was treated. They may also reveal repairs not shown on a history report. Not every owner keeps records, and their absence isn't a dealbreaker, but it makes an independent inspection more important. Asking for history and service records is part of OffLot's lot mode question list.
