CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
Should I take 0% financing or the cash rebate?
Do the math both ways. With the rebate, you lower the price but finance at a regular rate from your own lender; with 0%, you pay no interest but give up the rebate. Calculate the total of payments for each option over the same term. A large rebate combined with a low outside rate can sometimes beat 0%, especially on shorter terms. If you're paying cash, the rebate is usually the better choice.
