CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS

Should I get a pre-purchase inspection on a used car?

Yes. An independent mechanic can find problems a test drive and history report miss, like leaks, worn suspension, hidden accident repairs or engine and transmission issues. Inspections usually cost far less than a single major repair. Choose a shop you pick, not one the seller recommends. If a seller won't allow an inspection, treat that as a red flag. OffLot's Open lot mode includes asking about an independent inspection.
