CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
Can I return a car after I buy it?
Generally, there is no federal right to return a car after you buy it; the FTC's three-day cooling-off rule does not cover vehicle purchases at a dealership. Some dealers offer their own return or exchange policies, and California offers a contract cancellation option on some used cars under $40,000 for a fee. Ask about any return policy before you sign and get it in writing. Otherwise, treat signing as final and do your inspection and research first.
