CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
What should I do after selling my car?
After the sale, file any notice of sale or release of liability your state requires, handle your license plates according to state rules, and keep copies of the bill of sale and title transfer. Cancel or move your insurance only once ownership has officially transferred. Remove toll transponders and sign out of connected apps, navigation and paired phones. If there was a loan, confirm it shows paid in full and the lien was released.
