CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
Battery degradation is the gradual loss of a battery's capacity to store energy as it ages and goes through charging cycles, which shows up as somewhat less range than when new. It is normal and usually happens slowly. Heat, frequent DC fast charging and regularly keeping the battery at 100 percent or near empty can speed it up. Many EV warranties cover excessive capacity loss within a set period. Following your manufacturer's charging recommendations helps slow it down.
