Do used cars come with a warranty?

Some do. A used car may still have remaining factory warranty, come with a certified pre-owned warranty, have a limited dealer warranty, or be sold as is. The FTC Buyers Guide on dealer cars tells you which. Factory coverage usually transfers to new owners, but confirm with the manufacturer using the VIN.
