CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
Can I put two names on a car title?
Usually, yes. Most states let you title a vehicle in two names, and wording like and or or can affect whether both owners must sign to sell it or what happens if one owner dies. Each state handles this differently, so check your state DMV's guidance before signing. If there is a loan, the lender may need both people on the application. Both owners should also be on the insurance policy.
