CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
What does 'plus tax, title, and license' mean in a car ad?
It means the advertised price excludes sales tax, title fees and registration or license plate fees, which you will pay on top. Often "TT&L" ads also exclude the dealer's documentation fee, which some dealers list separately, so read the fine print. To compare dealers fairly, ask each for a full out-the-door quote including every tax and fee for your ZIP code.
