CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
Are dealer add-ons required when buying a car?
Optional products such as service contracts, GAP, tire and wheel coverage, paint protection and maintenance plans are not required, and you can decline them. Some items may already be physically installed on a vehicle, like window tint or nitrogen-filled tires, and dealers may still list them, so ask for the out-the-door price with and without those items. On OffLot, Open lot mode prompts you to ask which add-ons are removable, and Build your deal shows protection products clearly as optional.
