CAR-BUYING QUESTIONS
Can I refuse dealer add-ons?
You can always decline optional add-ons you didn't ask for, though if they are already installed on the car the dealer may refuse to remove the charge. In that case you can negotiate the overall price down, ask for a different vehicle without them, or shop elsewhere. Read the buyer's order line by line before signing, since add-ons sometimes appear without being discussed. OffLot's Open lot mode includes asking which add-ons are removable as one of its questions for the dealer.
